take a peak at our little weekend getaway in

glacier, montana.

oh, what a lovely time we had.

full of nothing but laughter, camping, friends, huckleberry's, 

nature, celebrations, river rafting, hiking, creating memories and food.

lovebird's best friend decided to marry his beautiful bride

up in the gorgeous surroundings of montana.

it was quite the destination wedding.

they actually decided to tie the knot on our wedding date/anniversary.

i'm not complaining, because what better way to celebrate than 

to be out of town at your dearest friend's wedding? 

we all know what this means too- lots of future anniversary trips to come!

the wedding was simply perfect for the two of them,

our anniversary was delightful {and busy} and

the weekend was a big success full of bonding moments between our friends.

to top it off, lovebird surprised me big time with a wedding band.

my jaw slightly dropped when i saw a little box from our jeweler.

let me tell you, there's nothing like getting a diamond in the ruff.

my heart is forever captured by his romance and love.

i certainly have a keeper- and i'm holding on forever....

for many more anniversaries to come.

one year.

yesterday, our day went a little like this....

1.breakfast in bed. early in the morning.

2. cuddles and snuggles.

3. pedicures. yes, the both of us.

4. massage. a hot rock, hour, rubbing massage.

5. dance. (and lovebird did a workout.)

6. dinner at conncetta. our favorite.

7. and a little romance before we fell fast asleep.

one year ago today lovebird and i were married. 

august 4 2010

what a lovely, glorious, and completely romantic day.

we are both a little in awe that a whole year has already come and gone.

we have had a blast. a perfect year, full of nothing but love.

and change. a lot of change.

i look at little old couples who have been married for 50 years,

and i can now understand how fast time flies when you are in love.

this has been the best and happiest year of my life.

i'm looking forward to many more to come.

lip gloss & the number nine

guess what?!

lovebird got the hint from yesterday....

and surprised me with the lip gloss i wanted from mac.

it's certainly a happy day. 

and another "guess what?"

it's our nine month anniversary today!

ironic that my new lip gloss is called

"i ♥ you"

happy hump day.

i hope you are spoiled with love like i am.

on our mini road trip to monterey, lovebird looked over and asked...

"what do you like most about being married?"

without giving much thought, i simply replied: "everything." 

because after all, that's the truth. 

i then turned around and ask him. his reply being quite brilliant:

"because i have you, and no one else in the world can say that."

he went on to explain how incredible it is that no two people in the universe
 have the same relationship as another couple;
there is only one "joel" and "elease" out there; 

making it impossible for couples to experience the
exact same love, adventures and conflicts.

i had never thought of it that way. 

oh, how i love him.

and yes my friends, i love everything about being married.

but i especially love being married to him.

it's our anniversary!

yes, my friends, we have made it a whopping

SIX

months. can you believe it?

i can't.

 i am in awe we have been married a half of a year already.

"time flies when you're having fun." now, isn't that the truth?

life is blissful simply because i am married to lovebird.

i'm not one for mushy-gushy-lovey-dovey-express-your-heart on your blog,

so for now i'll leave it at that.

we are as happy as can be.

six months and counting. that's for sure.

we've been married for 2 months.

yes, two whole months.

may sound silly, i know.

but, i am more in shock that it has already been

2 months since our wedding day.

it seems as though it was just yesterday.

i certainly am married to the best guy in the world.

i've lived 2 blissful months as his lucky wife.

can't wait for many more to come.
