hot pink.

currently, my favorite trend:

hot pink lips

it's been my go to look for the last little while- why?

because i love, love, love the pop of color for spring. 

but, also because it's so easy to throw a coat of mascara on

and spruce up your entire look by just adding a bold lip.

my favorite products?

1. MAC's- Girl About Town

2. NARS- Schiap

{if you can't find that product- try this instead!}

3. Urban Decay- Crush

i'm embarrassed to admit, i own these all.

i couldn't tell you which one is my favorite of the three.

i wear them each equally and love them all the same.

you truly can't go wrong with any of them!

i don't mind splurging when it comes to lip color-

because i wear it daily and love it. 

however, if you are saving your pennies right now

or if you aren't sure you are ready to wear such a bold lip-

try this one.

lastly, i just found this tutorial yesterday, and am eager to give it a go-

a hot pink matte lip? sounds ideal to me. 

the options are endless, obviously.

favorite things.

a few of my favorite things right now:
1. the sun that's trying to outdo the cold. it's warmth has been delightful lately- i want more.
2. time to myself.
3. anything and everything that has a bow. i've always been a sucker for bows. {1, 2, 3, & 4}
4. this nail idea for valentine's day. {it's coming up so soon!}
5. raw almonds. i could eat them endlessly.
6. crawling into bed with a good book and a lavender heating pad. blissful, i tell you.
7. the regular voicemails my dad leaves me. mostly complaining that i'm too busy, but always telling me how much he loves me.
8. grocery shopping with a set list. {saves money and fights temptations, cravings and my sweet tooth.}
9. downton abbey. need i say more?
10. lipstick. but, then again- lipstick always makes the cut when it comes to my favorite things.

11. today marks exactly two and half years of wedded bliss. 

lovebird will always my favorite.

no doubt about that.  

five favorites.

these are a few of my favorite things:

{as of late}

1. diet coke. recently with lime.

2. gladiator shoes in a carmel color. {own and love these.}

3. facetime with lovebird while we're apart. 

4. essie nail polish. any bright color will do. 

{i fluctuate between essie and opi; currently loving essie}

5. matinee movies, manicures, mint green, and mothers. 

scoop of love and laughter.

last night when the words of my textbook started blurring together into one big word, i decided it was time for a break. a break from school and life.

i was in desperate need of a break full of nothing but giggles, love and time with lovebird. 

so, i yelled into the office where he so obediently was doing his homework....

"hey, i need you to come here". 

"no you don't."

{he obviously knows me way too well. crap.}

"no, i seriously do. i need your help on my homework".

{all lies, i tell you.}

"lease, i'll kill you if you're lying."

.....

he killed me alright; killed me with tickles and kisses. 

we laid on the ground for a good two hours. 

we stayed up way past our bed time doing nothing but chitchatting. 

and listening to spotify. the new best thing since sliced bread.

{it's a real treat to find all the oldies you listed to back in the day... all for free.}

my head was propped over his as we sang "we are young". glee version, duh.

i can't describe how funny it was to lip-sync and do actions face to face. noses touching.

lovebird told me i looked like a muppet when i sang. that was nice of him. 

we were laughing so hard we were both crying and my abs felt like a million bucks. 

after we were sick to our stomachs from laughter, we decided we needed to feed them with our new favorite addiction: pistachio for him, caramel for me. 

it was a good night at home. 

nothing beats time with lovebird doing absolutely nothing- 

because it's these moments that make up our everything. 

i'll hit the books later, right?

this was well worth my time. anthropology can always wait.

after all- love and gelato will always come first. 

a few little things:

things from this week include:

1. wearing cozy sweaters to study for finals in.

why not be comfy when you are stressing out? 

2. mailing out our christmas cards.

yes, we did send one to the president of the united states.

why not? everyone can use some holiday cheer.

3. a day off {monday} included a lunch date to greens with lovebird.

greens: an organic market with delicious food and treats, of course.

4. flowers from my nutcracker performances.

my house smells delicious and they make me smile as i'm reminded of how much i love to dance.

those are just a few of my favorite things right now.

these are a few of my favorite things.

as of late, of course.

my obsessions, trends, and taste seem to change on a regular basis.

"it's-it" ice cream sandwiches.

they are to die for. a little piece of heaven on earth.

{ignore the ugly picture. i just walked in the door from rehearsal.}

this idea for our bedroom. i find it adorable.

salads. yep, you heard me right.

i know it is shocking coming from me, but i am currently obsessed with them.

best {our favorite} dressing? "o organic" blue cheese. yum.
